ARDMORE, Pa. (AP) ? That handshake between Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia might be their only meeting this week at the U.S. Open.
Woods says they greeted each other on the practice range at Merion on Monday but there was no time for an apology. Woods says the matter is done and it's time to play the U.S. Open.
Garcia jokingly said at an awards dinner in England that he would have Woods over for dinner during the U.S. Open and "we will serve fried chicken." Garcia publicly apologized the next day.
Garcia's manager says the Spaniard tried Monday to arrange a private meeting, but their schedules clashed. Carlos Rodriguez says Garcia left Woods a note in his locker.
Woods and Garcia are on opposite sides of the draw this week.
