Construction continues on London, Ontario Carpenters? union training centre
McKAY-COCKER CONSTRUCTION LTD.
Structural steel work is taking shape on the new United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 1946 Training Centre in London, Ontario.
Construction manager McKay-Cocker Construction Ltd. began the two-storey project in February and completion has been scheduled for November 2012. The 25,000-square-foot steel and wood frame building will have offices, classrooms, a training centre, a fitness area and several feature wood elements highlighting the quality craftsmanship of the Carpenters? union members.

The project was designed by architects Tillmann Ruth Robinson and consultants are: Van Boxmeer & Stranges Engineering (structural) and Vanderwesten Rutherford Mantecon (mechanical/electrical). Subtrades include: Di Angelis Construction (excavation/formwork); Mirage Steel (structural steel); Curney Mechanical and Johnson Electric.
